The app is completely free to use at all times and in all situations.
You don’t need to create an account to use the core features like the medical id. However, to use more of the advanced features, you have to create a free account with your email.
Yes, you can at any time switch between user categories in the app, depending on when and where you’re using it. There are some slight feature differences in each user category.

Medical ID
The Medical ID allows users to store personal emergency information directly on their equipment, such as allergies, chronic illnesses, injuries, and emergency contacts, ensuring quick access during emergencies.
The Medical ID is stored offline in the Twiceme app and locally on the equipment itself. This ensures data security of this sensitive information.
Anyone with an NFC-enabled smartphone. Hence, only upload the information you feel comfortable sharing.
Yes, profiles uploaded using the Twiceme app version 5.0 or later can be accessed without the app by utilizing the background scan feature on an NFC-enabled smartphone.
To provide a seamless user experience when accessing information without the Twiceme app, the smartphone displays the accessed information on the readtwiceme.com website. It’s important to note that none of the presented information is uploaded to the web. Only the HTML code is downloaded from the web purely for presentation purposes.

No, it is free to use for everyone who accepts the End User Licence Agreement that are presented the first time you open the app.
Maps and alerting functionalities
Rescue Alert: Get access to the local rescue phone numbers and their corresponding rescue areas of more than 200 mountain resorts
Friends Alert: Share your location with friends for quick assistance.
Get Back Timer: Notifies emergency contacts if you don’t return to a chosen place by a set time.
Yes, the app allows you to share your real-time location with multiple contacts.
You need full access to the internet for the rescue alert and friends alert feature. For the get back timer, your alert will be sent anyway with information about your last known location.
Work documents and certifications
This feature allows users to upload work-related documents (e.g., training documents, certifications, etc.) to their Twiceme equipment.
Work documents are stored securely in the cloud and linked to user’s equipment through the Unique Identifier (UID) of the integrated Twiceme Hardware.
No, once uploaded to your account, a document can be quickly linked to multiple pieces of equipment without re-uploading.
No, the documents themselves are stored in the cloud.
Anyone with an NFC-enabled smartphone. Hence, only upload the documents you feel comfortable sharing.
Updates to a document will automatically apply to all linked equipment.
Equipment health (helmet inspections)

If linked to a Safety Management Portal (SMP) team, safety personnel can monitor your inspection logs.
Safety Management Portal (SMP)
The SMP is a comprehensive desktop solution for all components of the safety management value chain, from ensuring worker certifications to tracking the health and expiration dates of personal protective equipment (PPE).
As SMP is currently in public beta, it’s free to use until further notice. We reserve the right to begin charging for the product at any time.
Anyone can create an SMP account to manage the safety of their jobsites. Safety oversight personnel, however, can create sites and oversee other users' safety compliance. Workers can join as team members upon invitation.
The admin of the jobsite in the SMP can share a four-character code to the users they want to invite. They can thereafter add the code in the Twiceme app in the “Manage jobsites” section to join.
Document and certification management.

Yes, workers can upload and manage their documents in the SMP but cannot oversee others unless given team leader privileges.
Information & Data privacy
No, the personal information related to the medical ID is always locally stored in the Twiceme app and if uploaded to the Twiceme equipment, it’s also locally stored there on the integrated Twiceme Hardware.
Yes, to access certain features in the Twiceme app—such as maps, alerting functionalities, or the work documents feature—you need to create an account. When creating an account, and with your consent, we collect and store basic personal information such as your name, email address, and phone number. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Yes, you can delete your data by deleting your account in the Twiceme app or through the SMP. Once your account is deleted, all associated information will also be removed. You can also contact us and we'll remove you from all systems.
Your Medical ID will remain stored locally on the equipment. Deleting the information requires NFC scanning via the Twiceme app, ensuring your data cannot be removed without physical access to the equipment.
App troubleshooting
Update your smartphone and the app
Easiest solution to most problems with the app will always be:
• to update the operative system on your smartphone
• to update the app to the latest version in App Store or Google Play
- Ensure your smartphone’s NFC is enabled.
- Hover your phone’s NFC scanning area directly over the Twiceme logo with a distance of 1–3 centimeters or 1-2 inches.
- Check for physical obstructions like thick or magnetic phone cases.
Make sure your phone is updated to the latest operative system.
